Just a Picture...

He dinged on a discover, right after a pet battle. XD

All I'm gonna say for now is... It's about time!

Quick Catchup

First is probably the biggest - I finally stopped putzing around on Pitch. He was at 68% when I logged off last night, so a dungeon run and some hardcore questing today finally saw the end.

... although actually it's probably more like the beginning, since now I get to start gearing him up, and start on all the new faction dailies. Not sure whether to cheer or go ugh right now.

Lark's seen some more questing and she's almost 86 now. I may spend a bit of time on Rheugan before I go back to her, though. I'd like to get him as close to cap as I can, while not neglecting Lark too much. We'll have to see how well I do on that.

Still want to play Taurros too, though with all these druids, I'm hoping I don't burn myself out on the class. I'm kinda glad now that I have all those other toons at 85 waiting their turns, in case I need to play with something non-druidy.

Still want to level Booggah too. WTB more time in the day?

Monks and pet battles haven't changed much since my last post, so nothing to report there. I need to head to bed anyway, but at least I have 2 days off after tomorrow. Whoo!

Til next time, Happy Hunting!

Patch 5.0!

Been tinkering with things since the patch, and so far this is what I've come up with:

  • The talent trees are awesome but all kinds of confusing too.
  • I keep finding myself taking the same talents on different toons (druids/hunters/death knights/etc.). Not sure how I feel about this yet.
  • Every time Lark's Dire Beast summons a tiger, I imagine it's Tuah. XD
  • Druid stag form is the awesomest thing ever and I love Blizzard just for that.
I got inspired to do a little random taming today, so Lark has 2 new(ish) pets. First, sis's pally came with me to Blackwing Lair, where Lark's corehound Fauth found himself in a new skin. This was kind of a last-ditch effort to see if I keep him, since he's been on the list of "will release if needed." Still not sure if I'm keeping him, but I'll see how I like him this way in the meanwhile.

After that, I checked Petopia and noticed that the Black Stalker, who hadn't been tamable in the beta, was now flagged as being tamable. Since I wasn't sure when I'd be able to get some folks together for SSC, I went ahead and headed over to Underbog to check.

I've liked this name for awhile, but never found a pet that it clicked on. I think it suits this fella pretty well, though. Again, not sure if I'll keep him since he is kinda "buggy" and bugs creep me out a bit, but for now I'm waiting and seeing.

Wyrmrest-Zuuluu has been getting some leveling love. He's up to 13 in 2 days, with comparatively little playtime, and I'm having fun with him. I'll have to write something up for him sometime; he's been getting stuck in my head almost as bad as Rheugan at times.

And... stags. Have I mentioned I can't get enough of the stags?

Rheugan- "I'm watching you..."

Lathenil

Pitch

Pitch and Kyraine. Yes, he's sitting while she's riding him. Lazy thing. XD

The only annoying thing is they jump in the air when you hit the spacebar- in order to rear up like Pitch is doing, you have to do the /mountspecial. Good thing I already have it macro'd.  >.>

Rheugan's been running LFR again the last couple days, mostly testing to see if the new loot system might be kinder on him. It hasn't- every boss kill so far has given him some gold and that's it. Guess all I can do is keep trying, right?

I've gone back to camping for a blue Madexx for Booggah fairly hard-core again, in fact I'm trying to stay up tonight to watch for him. Sis tamed him earlier on her worgen Maxwill (red this time!), so I have a timer, and I'm off tomorrow so I can sleep late. I just hope he doesn't spawn in green again... or black. Knowing my luck, that's probably what he'll do. XD

I've still been playing Star Wars:TOR as well as getting back into LotRO a bit. My guys on Windfola just got themselves a bigger house, since I ran out of space to put stuff. The summer festival is going on, too, so they have a hammock for the yard and Elgo got himself a new horse. I still want to do stuff on Laurelin, too- hopefully I don't get distracted until it's too late. >.<

That's all I can think of for now, and I have camping I need to get back to. Til next time, Happy Hunting!

In which I get off my lazy tail and do an update...

Umm, yea. In my defense, I have been majorly tired most of the time, so sometimes actually thinking up a blog post requires more brain-power than I have available. I will try harder, though.

Updates! I am still playing Tera, mostly on the days that I don't have anything going on in WoW (such as RP nights, raids nights, etc.). I've made my usual bunch of alts, and am now playing each one through the starting zone and getting them out into the world.

Dharius is still my "main" so far, though I don't want to say that won't change, as I'm falling in love with a couple other classes too. He's up to level 22 and finally ready quest-wise to go into the game's first dungeon. That will be my next goal for him.

My second off the "newbie island" is my slayer, Azirah the high elf. She was actually one of the last alts I made, but she got her playtime first cause I did really like the class from what I played in open beta (Dharius was a slayer before I rerolled him as a warrior.). She's tons of fun - I actually got her through the zone in one session, though sadly I haven't gotten back to her since.

Next was my Castanic priest Cerelius. I think this picture sums up his personality pretty well...
A lot of the chat I've seen regarding priests seems to be about how painful they can be to level, but he seems to be doing almost as much damage as my sorcerer, the only other caster class I've tried. Playing him is fun and easy, I can't remember how many times he's fought a "boss" or a large group and come out with nearly full health and mana. I think he'll likely be my second "main"(or main alt? whatever).

I've gotten Tamsin the Popori berserker and Nimli the Elin archer through the starter zone as well, but don't have any screenies of them yet. Too busy playing to take pictures maybe? >.>
The only toon I have left is my Aman sorcerer, who should be joining the others shortly.

I rolled all these guys on the (only)RP server, and I've been keeping my eye out for any RP. I've found quite a bit, but there are a few problems - such as the lack of an emote system and the fact that /say chat is almost zone-wide - that make it difficult to follow what's going on. That, and the fact that I've mostly just hung back and lurked. >.>

So! Besides Tera I've still been busy in my other games. Lord of the Rings Online has been holding their anniversary celebration, during which I found that you can find a couple mounts in one of their quests! The quest is to simply pick up envelopes scattered throughout Bree and open them for the invitations inside. But, you can find other things inside as well, such as an emote, tokens for the holiday vendors, and 2 mounts - one of which I want desperately for Ilfariel. She's had no luck so far, despite doing the quest(it's a daily) almost every day, but one of my other characters got lucky...
Sad part is that I hardly ever play this character - in fact, he's the only one I have on the server. /sigh... But, I'm enjoying the mount anyway, and this might be the encouragement I need to actually play and level him.

With everything else going on, Roebar's leveling has naturally slowed down, though he did reach 56 yesterday. I still want to get him to at least 60 asap, so he can fly, and eventually to 85. Hopefully I'll get him there before Mists comes out...
He has gotten in a bucketload of RP, and I'm really happy with how well he's fitting in so far. Having a Gilnean druid(complete with accent!) that isn't as full of issues as Rheugan is/was is a lot of fun, and he's actually helping spearhead the Riders next "big" story arc. Wheee!

There has also been MoP beta stuff, which I will save for another post. Honestly, now that most of the beasts are now tameable that's all I've really been doing, but I've taken screenshots of all the new buddies I've found, so I'll tackle a post for that soon. Til then, Happy Hunting!

'Nother ding!

It was the grindiest grind ever, but I finally worked out the last few bubs he needed. Alanon is finally the same level as his brother. :P

I'm not totally sure what the problem with leveling him was, unless it was simply that he isn't feral. I do like boomkin-ing, but for some reason I just lost all enthusiasm for questing and dungeons at the end. He has a resto spec too, but healing for PUGs generally made me just wanting to be done and out of the instance long before it was over. Which is funny, because I like healing in battlegrounds and when I'm grouped with friends.

Regardless of my healing qualms, I'm attempting to get his healing gear in order first.... so yes, he is DPSing in resto gear for now. Good thing is that a lot of stuff actually works well for both specs.

I had several pieces of gear already for when he dinged, plus he had enough JPs to get his t12 chestpiece. Those and a few PVP-crafted pieces from the AH were enough to get him ready for the "timeroics," and I got some friends together to run through those last night. He got all his quests done and picked up 5-6 upgrades in the process.... and somehow made it to the raid finder ilvl, roughly 24 hours after hitting 85. O.o

What is this I don't even....

I don't think I'll be hitting the raid finder just yet, he still has one wimpy trinket and I'd like to replace the crafted blues. But at least now I can feel like I can PUG the heroics and not get vote-kicked for lousiness. XD

Meanwhile, Rheugan will go sit in a corner with his little ilvl 333 staff.....

(Just kidding, he'll still be running Well of Eternity as well. Although I'm beginning to think that staff doesn't actually exist...)

Adventures in Pet-Collecting

Pitch is closing in on his Menagerie achievement, and I've been doing some pet-acquiring in my spare time. He's gotten about all the ones he can through buying- the rest are way too expensive in the AH so I'll need to do some old-fashioned farming. And he's been working on the few quest-rewarded pets that he hasn't gotten yet... one of those being the Lashtail hatchling.

****THERE ARE QUEST SPOILERS HERE!!!****

So seriously, if you haven't done the quest chain and want to be surprised, don't go any further. I'm sorry. :(

Pitch had started on the quest chain a while ago, then I got distracted, so it was "fun" trying to figure out how far he'd gotten and where he had to go next. After some digging around- and a good deal of anxiety- I finally found he was on this quest, so off he went with hatchling in tow.

.... I don't have words for the rest of this quest chain, but needless to say I think it's become one of my favorites. Happily, I did take a number of screenies, so these will have to do.

She carried that skull around for the ENTIRE REST OF THE CHAIN. When the quest text says that she won't put it down.. well, you better believe that's what they mean.

The next part (that I failed to take screenies of) had Pitch taking her out to find troll fetishes. Once they got to the appropriate ruins, she started off digging them up before I even realized what she was doing.... and kept digging them up, even after the quest was completed, until she couldn't find any more. It was hilarious watching her toss the fetishes to Pitch, only to have a message come up saying he couldn't carry any more of those. And of course, she still had that skull in her mouth.

Next part I'm not even sure how to describe. Just picture a tiny raptor jumping on a troll and whacking him in the face with the skull in her mouth, and you get the idea.

I think by this point Pitch was doing this: "O.o"

And then Mandokir came and took his poor little hatchling away. Poor Pitch- we'd both gotten so attached to her by then that there was only one thing to do... queue up for Zul Gurub so he could get his baby back, of course! I even overcame my dread of tanking for PUGs just to get in faster.

And soon enough, reunion time! *cue cutesy music*

Of course, I went through all that without realizing what the actual pet did... until I took Pitch out to do some Kalu'ak-rep-farming, and during one quest that involved killing a bunch of ghouls, I noticed her running up to Pitch with something in her mouth....

"See what I brought you, Daddy?"

Yes, I know that's the Stockade. I forgot to get a pic of the ghoul-bone-fetching, so I had to make do. She brought him 2 ghoul bones, I think just in case he hadn't noticed the first one. >.>

* * * *

If THAT wasn't enough, after Pitch got done with Kalu'ak stuff for the day, I took him to Dalaran to see if he could fish up a rat. No luck there, but he did get a number of Magic Eaters, and I got curious...

Yes, he is holding his fishing pole there.

It allowed him to keep fishing in all 3 forms, though apparently wisps don't need poles to fish, and it was kinda too small to see as a basilisk. The only way to tell he was really fishing was his bobber in the water.

And now after all that silliness I need sleep. Til next time, Happy Hunting!

Catching Up

I have no idea what is with the spam comments I've been getting, but wow. Seriously, guys, go find someone else to pester.

I have been extra busy with 4.3 since it came out. Pitch, Lark, and Rill have all been getting runs through the new 5-mans, and I'm planning on starting Turron through them as well (if he has the ilvl, can't remember right now). Lark's raid has spent 2 weeks in Dragon Soul, and we have the first 3 bosses down! Unfortunately, everyone so far has forgotten to get kill screenshots, but I'll get some and stick them up here eventually.

RP has slowed down somewhat, though the Riders "big" storyline is still going on. Everyone's been so busy with the new stuff, however, that I don't mind so much.

Rheugan has been keeping himself busy. I've been on him whenever I haven't been on the afore-mentioned 3, and he's been questing and archaeology-ing his way along. Which brought this result.

I now have 7 max-level characters. My sister still beats me, though. >_>

I'm now taking him through the gearing-up process, although I'm not sure what I'll wind up doing with him. Right now, I just want his ilvl up enough that he can run any dungeons I want to. I've started having tentative thoughts on maybe making him my raiding main in the next expansion, but that is a definite "wait and see."

I think that is pretty much all that's been going on. Holidays are crazy, and general work stuff is not helping, so no idea how frequent blog posts will be until after it's over. Til next time, Happy Hunting!

Just more pictures...

Because I'm really tired and need to go to bed. Enjoy.

Where's the controls for this thing?!?

Why hello there!

Where did Kel go?! (lol)

Yes, this makes 3 new spirit beasts in 2 days. Grats sis!

At last, now I can sleep.

*Cheers*

I still want to finish up his story before he goes back to Stormwind for real. This will give him time to rest up again, at least.

Another Marker Reached

When Rheugan hit level 68, I randomly decided that I wanted an actual set of druid armor for him, for RP. The "easiest" one to get is the level 70 PVPish set from the rep vendors (remember these?), however! Rheugan was only friendly with Honor Hold and Cenarion Expedition, and hadn't even touched the others yet. So.... Pitch ran him through a bunch of dungeons.

Rheugan now has 3 pieces, and is honored with HH, CE, and Keepers of Time. Shattrath and Lower City will be getting their turns once I track down some dungeon quests and have a day off work. Tomorrow is looking pretty likely.

All the instancing had a bonus side effect- by the time Pitch and Rheu were done with Keepers, he was only a few bars away from 70! So I queued him for a random, did his cooking/fishing dailies, and then got into an Utgarde Keep group. The run went smoothly, with a group that actually chatted and joked around during the run, and a couple pulls before Ingvar, Rheu finally dinged.

He'd already been saving his money, plus I sent him some from my other toons, so, almost as soon as he got to Stormwind....

Wheeeee, speedy birdy! Also, I hadn't noticed until now that the worgen flight form has little wolf ears. XD

And now I feel bad for Davoss, because I want to go ahead and finish Rheu up before returning to my pally-tank. He won't be my next toon to 85 (I have a couple others I'm playing with sporadically that are a lot closer), but he'll get there pretty quick at this rate.

I might actually get some writing done soon, if he doesn't decide to shut me out again. I think the key to writing about Rheugan isn't me trying to talk to him, but getting one of my other toons to do it instead. Crazy worgen. :)

In which I go crazy with the screenshots

I have been having some fun without actually doing anything constructive. Wheee.

Booggah went and tamed his new friend. His name is Ice, and he is Samurai and Gabriel's son. I love him to bits already.

I never got around to showing a screenie of his chimaera, so have one now. Plus a bonus fox!

Still having mixed feelings about the whole pet auto-levelling and no more happiness things, but so far I've decided to take it as a good thing. Pet leveling was my favorite way to "bond" with a pet, plus if they didn't "click" I could usually tell right away (like with Lark's poor dog) and not have to waste time/stable space on it. But meh, I'll deal with it.

Speaking of stables, Lark got this boy a while ago, but he hasn't had a mention yet.

His name is Tuah, after her moonstalker. Yes, she still has the original Tuah. Shush.

He's getting a mention now because he will become an IC pet as soon as I think up a story for him. I have a general idea for it, just need to actually type it out. I am lazy.

Lark has another new addition, though I wouldn't really call him a pet...

Her old mount Wynd is starting to get old and stiff, so she's gotten a replacement. Old Wynd is still good for a few more years, so she has time to raise and train this little guy.

I love the dailies for him so much, you have no idea. This pic has even made it's way to my pc desktop.

*Squees from cuteness*

Pitch has found a new mission, too. With 4.1, Blizz added a couple more achievements for non-combat pets. Pitch is up to 91.

Minions, he has them.

It annoys me that Rheugan's in-game catform is larger than Pitch's. In reality, the opposite is supposed to be true. So, mix some elixirs with a little pygmy oil, and there! I fixed it!

ICly, they are both doing well. Rheugan is getting ready for his Claw test, aka going to Nagrand and killing some Really Large Animals. For realz.

Other than that, Rheugan has been... quiet. Pitch had some awesome RPs with some of the Riders, but Rheu had to stay at home, and I'm still not certain how much all of that is bugging him. He's not mad at Pitch by any means, but still, he's tired of feeling left out all the time and not knowing why.

He's also still wrestling with the aftermath of returning to Gilneas. Seeing his homeland all but abandoned, the effects that the war has had on it, really hit a nerve, and he's not been very willing to let me know what's going on inside his head. I'm poking at him a lot, however, and I think I might be breaking through. If he lets me write anything about it, it'll be showing up here.

And hey, Spirit Bond has reached 10,000 views! I was debating thinking up something special for the occasion, but it kinda snuck up on me unprepared. Still worth a mention, especially since I never thought anyone besides my sister and a couple friends would ever even look at it! I'm not a "big" blogger by any means, and not looking to become one (no thanks!) but it still gives me some pretty nice feelings.

I will be fiddling with some chatlogs in the near future; some of the recent RP has been worth sharing, I think, so I'll clean them up and post them. Til then, Happy Hunting!

And then there were Two... and other stuff(picture-heavy)

I was doing one of my fly-bys in Twilight Highlands- still no Sambas- and when I finished I decided to park at one of his spawn points while I tabbed out. A few minutes later, NPCScan started blaring at me...

...and once I was done squeeing, I remembered to take screenshots.

If that wasn't awesome enough, a little bit later one of Pitch's guildies asks over the OOC channel if anyone was looking for Loque'nahak. Once I actually registered what he said, I switched over to Booggah...

I just don't even.... This felt even better than when Lark found and tamed him. Finally, finally, after nearly 2 years, Boo has him.

.... I really didn't want to log him off, though. >.>

After that, I tinkered around on Shaurria (she's over halfway to 80!) until it was time for Pitch's Lich King raid.

... did I forget to mention that? >.>

One of the Riders had a raid ID saved, with only Arthas left alive. Enough people showed interest that we planned it for tonight. Pitch tagged along for his shot at a shiny new (for him) title.

There may have been a bit of silliness before the pull. >.>

But then again, maybe Arthas likes sandbox tigers?

There were also a couple herbalists in the raid...

Did you know that priests can Life-grip flowers? And hunter pets, too.

It took us several tries, all the way up until our 10 o'clock server cut-off time. Various shenanigans all wanted to keep us from getting this dude down- including my game having a critical error and crashing right when Pitch was targeted by a Defile. >.> But finally everything came together... and Arthas smashed us all dead. Wait, what?

Best res request ever. We finished him off, had some RP, and called it a night.

Whew!

Just a Picture... Again

When I left Pitch last he was about 1 bar from hitting 85. Today I rushed home from work and logged on as soon as I could, and after just a few quests...

Two toons at 85 now, whoohoo! Now I get to do the gearing-up process all over again... -_-
